May 26: LEADER Mellansjölandets office is unmanned week 28-30 for some much-needed vacation
May 4: The upcoming deadline for submission of project applications is August 17. After that, October 19. This applies to all types of projects.
April 15:
The association's annual meeting was held on April 14 with a total of 25 participants.
The board was granted discharge from liability, and the meeting was chaired by Inger Trodell Dahl as meeting chair.
We warmly welcome our new elected representatives:

Lillemor Pettersson, deputy representing the private sector in Hallsberg.
Katarina Hedengren, deputy representing the private sector in Lekeberg.
At the meeting, outgoing member Malena Pirsech was thanked for her long-standing and highly appreciated contribution to LAG.
March 18: We remind you that the annual meeting 2026 will be held on April 14. More info will come on the homepage. Everyone is welcome!
March 11: The upcoming application round is April 13 and for small project applications April 16.
February 10: The final submission date for the next application round is March 3 for larger project applications and March 9 for small project support applications.
December 19: The office in Fjugesta has limited opening hours until January 7. However, we respond to emails and mostly to phone calls.

December 11: The annual meeting 2026 will be held in Hallsberg on April 14. More info will of course come later.
December 1: It is no longer a requirement for 20 percent co-financing for investments in Leader projects. Read more on the page ”Current support”.
September 18: The next application round has a submission deadline of October 14 and for small projects October 16.

The association's annual meeting was held on May 8, with a total of 31 participants.
The board was granted discharge from liability, and the meeting was chaired by Mats Nylin as meeting chair.
We warmly welcome our new elected representatives:
- Rene Francis, member representing the public sector in Askersund.
- Susanne Wojcik, deputy representing the private sector in Karlskoga.
The new chairperson for LAG was elected Åsa Löfvenhaft.
At the meeting, the outgoing chairperson was thanked Inger Trodell Dahl for her long-standing and highly appreciated contribution to LAG. Also Catharina Carlsson was thanked for her many years of commitment and valuable work as a member.
March 7: This spring there will be some personnel changes at LEADER Mellansjölandets office. In May, operations manager Jan Holgersson will go part-time andproject administrator Christina Levin will work until June before retiring. New operations manager will be Kristin Vettorato, who starts in May. Kristin is an agronomist with a focus on rural development and comes most recently from the operations manager position with our friends in Leader Södermanland.
January 15: The annual meeting will be held on May 8. Everyone is welcome!

April 10: The annual meeting for LEADER Mellansjölandet was held at Hotell Stinsen in Hallsberg with nearly 40 participants. In connection with the meeting, the acclaimed author Jannete Hentati gave a highly appreciated lecture. At the meeting, Linnéa Härlin, Joel Olsson, Janina Henningsson and Sven Samuelsson were elected to the board (LAG). The board was granted discharge for the past year.
April 10: LEADER Mellansjölandet has approved a project application from Laxå municipality.
February 28: LEADER Mellansjölandet has approved four project applications. The projects will be carried out in Kumlaby, Ekeby Almby, Hammar, and Karlskoga.
January 29: We will hold an information session with good examples of projects and how to apply for support. February 27 at 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM at Degerfors Folkets hus. We will provide a simple dinner, registration to the office.

November 20: LEADER Mellansjölandet's annual meeting will be on April 10, 2024.
November 20: The spring submission dates for project applications are now finalized: January 11, March 4, and April 24.
October 9: The next application round has a submission deadline of January 11.
September 26: It is now possible to apply for support for projects also in the rural areas of Karlskoga municipality.
August 24: LEADER Mellansjölandet has hired Sara Hillersberg as a communicator. Sara starts on September 1 and works until the end of May 2024.
June 14: The office has limited staffing during weeks 26-30. However, we will respond to emails within a couple of days, sometimes also by phone.
April 17: LEADER Mellansjölandet approved an application to develop the area around Mosås station into an activity area for youth.
April 17: LEADER Mellansjölandet held its annual meeting at Trilobiten in Hällabrottet. Örjan Samuelsson, Astrid Söderquist, Carl-Gustaf Thunström, and Linda Inehag resigned from the LAG, and we welcome Elisabeth Myr, Linda Einarsson, Kerstin Leijonborg, and Gunnel Kask to the LAG. The LAG was granted discharge for the past year.
March 9, 2023: LEADER Mellansjölandet has been granted a start notice for the program period 2023-2027. This means that it will be possible to apply for leader support for development projects in the coming years.
