Four steps to your project
A project is a process with four different steps. To begin with, there must be a development idea, something that can be refined and summarized into a concrete project and result in a formal application for project support. Thereafter, the project, if granted, should be implemented according to the conditions and regulations that exist. Finally, the project should be completed and finalized. After the project's conclusion, the results should transition into regular operations so that the outcome of the development effort becomes sustainable.
Step 1
Getting started
Applying for support for a development project within LEADER is a process. It begins with creating and developing an idea of how the community should develop, as well as establishing local anchoring for this idea. Even at this stage, it is good to contact the LEADER office for tips on how to proceed with your idea.
Step 2
Writing the application
When the project idea has taken shape and there is local anchoring for it, it is time to write the project application. The most important thing is to clearly describe the background, purpose, goals, and the activities that will be carried out in the project. A detailed cost budget also needs to be prepared.
Step 3
Implementing projects
After the approved application, the project is implemented in accordance with what has been written in the application and in the budget. If something does not go as planned, there is an opportunity to apply for a change in the project. To facilitate this, the Leader's office holds a project management review for those who have had an application approved.
Step 4
Conclude the project
When all activities in the project have been completed, the project should be finalized. The final report includes both a financial part and a section where the project's implementation and results are described. In connection with this, the transition from project to regular operations should also be ensured, so that the project's results become sustainable.

Should the project be used to create development in various ways – not to support already existing operations?
Non-discrimination
Have you considered openness and non-discrimination? It is an absolute requirement that no one is prevented from participating in the implementation of the project or benefiting from the project's results due to gender, ethnic affiliation, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
