Youth Pool VOX

The purpose of the project is to motivate and support young people aged 16-25 to achieve employment and self-sufficiency through a local youth pool that engages young people and young adults in the area and works intensively with them around studies and working life. When young people are more engaged in their daily lives and gain increased insight into the opportunities available to them, their self-confidence is strengthened and the feeling of exclusion decreases. If we can motivate more young people to work or further studies, we give them goals and meaning. Through this, we can counteract substance abuse and crime, which benefits both the individual and the sense of security in the area. In VOX, a need has been identified to create job opportunities for young people, as well as a demand from actors operating in the area to access temporary labor. Here, Bilda with partners sees that a need can be met by coordinating efforts for young people in a youth pool that can offer services to other actors. The project's goals are:

1. 50 young people should have participated in the youth pool and had the opportunity to create work experience
2. Increased coordination between actors regarding the creation of work experiences for the target group

Planned activities to achieve the goals are:

• Create a youth pool in Meeting Place VOX that is recruited from this summer's Holiday Interns.
• Coordination of holiday internships in VOX • Seek job opportunities for the young people and promote the pool
• Offer study guidance/advice with the help of other actors
• Collaborate with other actors in the area (Fufa, AF, Eyra education)
• Organize and plan lectures, training, study visits, etc. at the request of the group
• Capture the young people's wishes and needs in the area and convey them further
