Participation for better inclusion

Our main purpose is to work to organize and mobilize people for better inclusion. To achieve this, Folkets Hus Vivalla uses its local member organizations which in turn mobilize people and groups. A large part of these groups end up in passivity, exclusion, and segregation mainly due to their weak position and nonexistent networks in Swedish society. In many cases despite good intentions as well as good experiences from both education and the labor market. Our goal is to get people to become active in order to increase their own conditions for a more participatory and inclusive role in society. We will identify associations, groups, and individual people who today have low activity and a weak position in society. The project will organize activities that specifically highlight people's opportunities to participate and influence their own situation in various areas of society. To both identify and increase the opportunity for empowerment in Swedish society, we conduct workshops, organize meeting places for discussions, study visits to activities that show positive results related to integration, inclusion, sustainable lifestyle, and gender equality. We also want to strengthen, encourage, and guide groups and individual persons to education for better conditions in the labor market.
