Feasibility study disc golf course Sköllervallen

Disc golf is a popular and growing sport that can be practiced by everyone. Sköllersta IF has in recent years seen that several disc golfers have visited our facility to train throws on our areas. We have contacted them and discussed with them whether there is an interest in expanding the association's offerings with training opportunities with a disc golf course. There is interest and now the association wants to conduct a feasibility study to see if we can build a course and whether it can be constructed safely in connection with Sköllervallen.

Project description

We want to see with the feasibility study if there is a possibility to establish a disc golf course, technical course, and driving range on the areas we have available at Sköllervallen in Sköllersta.

Why

Sköllersta as a location is growing and the community is changing, which makes the association want to become more attractive to the residents of the community and surrounding areas.

Goals

Our goal is to be the hub of our community with a wide range of activities that engage people of all ages. At Sköllervallen, people should gather to train, socialize, and feel good. For this particular project, the goal is to produce a well-developed feasibility study regarding a possible disc golf course at Sköllervallen.

Partners

We are in discussions with the Church of Sweden to borrow their land to have a 9-hole course there.

Hallsberg Municipality

Spin18 Disc Golf has been contacted to conduct the preliminary investigation.
