Choir concert in Gustaf Mattson's quarry

Gustaf Mattson's quarry is a now drained stone quarry from the stone industry era in Hällabrottet. The quarry has a long history as limestone extraction began here as early as the Middle Ages and developed into a flourishing industry during the 19th century. Near the quarry lies the stone worker museum, which is run by the Yxhultsbygdens culture and local heritage association in collaboration with the municipality. A public event focuses on the area and provides an opportunity to offer guided tours in connection with the concert. The goal is to provide choir singers as an audience with a musical and cultural-historical experience. The cultural school in the county will be offered to participate, which means an opportunity for children and young people in the countryside to take part in a larger cultural event.
