Development of the tourism industry in Lekeberg Municipality

There is no common idea or collaboration regarding the tourism industry in Lekeberg. Lekeberg has many exciting destinations that want to develop their business together with others in the municipality. The companies and associations want to coordinate their activities and are interested in finding a common working method together with other stakeholders in the municipality. There is a great need and interest in collaborating on tourism issues among the municipality's entrepreneurs and associations, which has been demonstrated in several initial workshops, surveys, and meetings that have been organized between the municipality, companies, and associations in recent years. Currently, there is no established collaboration between the destination companies, associations, and the municipality, but all parties are interested in finding a collaboration in the future. The aim is to create better business benefits and revenues for the tourism industry in Lekeberg Municipality by creating a shared understanding of tourism issues between business, associations, and the municipality. We will hire a project manager and create a project organization with a steering group and working group. The project will arrange workshops with all stakeholders to listen to needs regarding a common tourism collaboration and to create a team spirit. Conduct training, inspirational lectures, and make study visits to see how others work and to find a common working method. Test new approaches on the website and social media and create a digital tourist magazine. We will also conduct a thorough evaluation to find working methods and activities for the future tourism industry in Lekeberg.
