Small Project 2

LEADER Mellansjölandet is the project owner for Small Project 2. The project is co-financed by the EU and aims to create opportunities for smaller local initiatives. The goal has been to implement nine sub-projects that together contribute to more attractive places, strengthened community, and increased activity throughout Mellansjölandet.

Through the nine sub-projects, two new meeting places have been created, a new cultural and leisure activity, and three new networks established. The projects have also contributed to 600 new visitors to the area. In addition, two pre-study reports have been developed as a basis for continued development of local initiatives.

The engagement of local actors has been an absolute prerequisite for the project's implementation. In total, they have contributed 1099 hours of voluntary time, corresponding to a value of 373,830 kronor. The efforts demonstrate a strong local commitment and a willingness to collaboratively develop and strengthen the area's meeting places, activities, and networks.
