Gather Laxå 3.0

The purpose of the project is to develop collaboration between Laxå municipality, civil society, and business. We will do this by starting an association that works for the entire municipality. It should not only be possible to live and work in all of Laxå, it should be developing, empowering, and enjoyable.

The purpose is also to create a new cross-sectoral network, a meeting place through a joint association between civil society, business, and the municipality. The municipality, civil society, and business have several common challenges, all of which are linked to our residents.

It is difficult for civil society to conduct association activities; voluntary work is in short supply, and fewer want to engage in board assignments.

Business and the municipality as employers have difficulty finding skills, which can be linked to those who are outside the labor market being further away from the labor market than before, which requires joint efforts, as well as Laxå having a shrinking (and aging) population.

Together we need to find new creative ways to secure the supply of skills throughout the municipality in a sustainable manner. Together we need to focus on children and young people, who are experiencing increased mental health issues and struggling to cope with school. Children and young people need to feel that the safety net around them is working towards the same goal – a sustainable Laxå. Children and young people also need to be more involved in our community building; in this way, the path to a voluntary assignment, or to education or work in Laxå municipality, becomes shorter. Through a (development) association, we can together find creative solutions that benefit our entire municipality.
